These are reaches of the Red Deer that we do not often get to... in fact one reach Lois has never paddled.  This is generally tranquil paddling with a steady flow, through scenic country side.  It is a great run for those just learning to paddle on rivers, or those looking for a pleasant weekend of paddling.   The plan is to camp at the Red Deer Lions Campground.  As of April 2 they still were accepting bookings for this weekend.   RV sites fill quickly... tent sites not usually as quick, unless there is a ball tournament in town????  This will be day tripping with drives out to the start each day.   Folk could come down for just one day... it is only a 85 minute drive to Red Deer!
