We have booked 7-10 sites at Metis Crossing, where Hwy# 855 south of Smoky Lake crosses the North Saskatchewan river.  Camp fees, payable on-site, range from $17 to $25/night.  We will choose in-camp, from various day-trip paddling options available in the area, each day's paddle.  There are shorter and longer options.   Time will be made to visit Victoria Settlement historic site.  This is a beautiful stretch of river and often with lots of wildlife sittings.  And the paddling is easy, if you can keep you boat running true, and have some basic skills at eddy turns and ferrying please join Lois and I for a relaxing weekend of easy paddling, fine scenery and socializing.

Please try to register by mid-August so that we can release unused campsites back to the campground operator!
