This program is for at least modestly skilled solo flatwater canoe paddlers.   We have enticed Charles Burchill, one of the authors of the Paddle Canada - Style Canoeing Manual, and a paddling instructor highly recommended by Becky Mason.   He will be with us in Edmonton for a day of instruction in Style Canoeing at the Rundle Park Paddling Centre, Saturday, September 7th.   Participants are encouraged to bring your own classic 14-16' canoe, paddle and gear to RPPC for this course.   RPPC boats and gear will be available if needed.  Participants should be semi-proficient with the basic strokes: forward, reverse, draws, prys, sculling strokes, the J-stroke, and be able to keep a canoe on course forward and backwards.

For a bit of teaser on what this course will include check out Becky Mason's preview of her Advance Solo Canoe video here.
