Once again we are looking for Edmonton area paddlers to help with our "Flying Canoe Shuttle" at the Flying CanoĆ« Volant on the evenings of January 30, 31 & Februay 1 (Thurs., Fri., and Sat.) from approximately 6:45 PM through to 9:15 PM or so... later if you join the crew for some post event socializing at the festival lounge.  We have two volunteer needs.  Our primary need is for folk to help with our shuttle service for young kids over the two long blocks between the west side of the Rutherford School yard and the top of the Mill Creek Ravine.  We use our voyageur canoes (set on wheels) for our shuttle service.  And our volunteers and parents (most anyway) help to push the canoes along.  For this we need about ten volunteers each evening.   We also have an information table at the "trading post/lounge" promoting our clubs and paddling opportunities in the Edmonton area.  For this we need two volunteers each evening.  Our outdoor volunteers do need to dress for the weather, but also recognize that one can get warm pushing the canoes.  For further information please connect with our crew coordinator Ted.
