The Waterfront Instructor is an entry-level instructor program is designed for those individuals that would like to teach in a small designated area (80 x 100 meters) such as a pond or lake beachfront in calm waters


Expected skills include: draw, pry (or push away), stern draw, stern pry, forward stroke and reverse stoke. They need to be able to keep a canoe in a straight line forward and back (very short backwards), spin and sideslip.  They also need to perform a T-rescue.

This program: June 24th and 25th at  Rundle Park Paddling Centre 

In addition to the course fee ($250), participants will need to take out a Paddle Canada Waterfront Instructor Membership, & Paddle Alberta Instructor Membership ($50 + $10) click here.  Members who actively volunteer for club programs, or who teach in our education program may request a 50% subsidy from the club.
