This program will introduce youth and parents to the basic safety considerations needed for canoe and kayak paddling.  This will involve learning to enter these boats, the basic gear required, tipping and self rescues, and if time allows an intro' to the basic strokes.

This course is limited to 4 families . A family is considered 1 adult and up to 2 youth older than 4 years of age.

This program runs April 30 (4:00 pm to 5:30 pm)  It is best to be on deck early to help with gear prep.

Note: All pool based sessions will be run conditional on the number of participants. A course "go" / "no go" decision will be made 21 days prior to the start date to allow enough time to cancel the pool booking with no penalties.  To assist with our planning we are thus requesting that people register early and thank you for your understanding.  Cancellations, penalties and refunds post the 21 day limit will be handled on a case by case basis and will depend on course waitlist
