Clare & Leila (maybe) are again keen to paddle White Swan Lake, and the Columbia River in the upper Columbia River valley.  The plan is day trips determined by the group and weather conditions.  Car camping will be at the Fairmont Hot Springs Spruce Grove Campground, use this link, or call 250 345 6037 to book a site.  Serviced and unserviced sites are available.  Share tents to keep the cost down!

The Columbia river passes through here and is a well known wildlife preserve, and the paddling is easy.   Winds on the lakes, and log jams and sweepers on the river are the primary hazards.  Good flatwater and basic river skills should see you through this weekend.  This is a good paddle for either canoes or kayaks.  This should be a relaxing weekend with good scenic and wildlife viewing.  Multiple hot springs to visit!  Participants should book soon for camping, it is a popular site, and it is now open for booking.  And be sure to register with Ceyana on this site so our trip leaders can connect with you for late changing details.  Please note that the plan is to drive Thursday and Monday, paddling on Friday,Saturday, and Sunday.  It is a nearly 7 hr drive, carpool if you can!
