Participants do need to bring a towel and change of clothes, and padlock for the pool locker room. The pool has some PFDs available or students may feel comfortable in their own PFD.

    Pre-requisite:

You are able to paddle a kayak - know basic strokes and are comfortable with a wet exit with a spray skirt on.

Required equipment: sea kayak, spray skirt, paddle. The club has a limited supply of these items which can be borrowed for the course. Students are responsible for transporting all equipment and must make arrangements several weeks ahead of time. See Equipment for contact info and a list of available equipment (membership login required).

Other required equipment: Students must supply their own paddle float, bilge pump, sponge. Bring a stirrup if you own one.
